Job Description

Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Location: Spring Valley, IL

Salary: $90,000-$120,000

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our client's organization in the Spring Valley, IL area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the Reliability and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program to ensure optimal equipment effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the implementation of a Reliability Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability Improvement process within the facilities.
  • Define, track, and manage metrics of reliability to ensure the effectiveness of the Plant Reliability Program.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage maintenance process improvements, and facilitate failure analyses to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Utilize principles of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to solve complex technical problems and improve the maintenance and reliability of facility assets and processes.
  • Work with engineers and production personnel to identify critical equipment and establish a machinery reliability program.
  • Establish and own the progression of a defined action plan for monitoring critical equipment and communicate the measured results.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a strong technical and mechanical background, or equivalent plant experience with direct responsibility for plant reliability and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Experience with the management and implementation of capital projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and failures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Certification from the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) or as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software.
  • High level of computer literacy.
