Job Description

Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Location : Miami, FL (fly-in / fly-out to project sites nationwide)

Picture a ten-person, tech-driven GC that still lands freight-terminal, retail, and healthcare roll-outs for Fortune-level brands. That’s our client. They pour over $1 million into a Microsoft-based project platform, eliminate red tape, and reward people who simply get the job done. Step in as their field quarterback- own the schedule, the site, and the client relationship- while enjoying first-class travel, weekly pay, and complete autonomy.

This Role Offers:

  • All travel covered- airfare, rental car or company truck, accommodations, fuel, and an AmEx for job costs.
  • Full suite of health, dental, vision, life, and PTO.
  • Small-team visibility, no bureaucracy, and a direct line to executive leadership.

Focus:

  • Orchestrate all on-site work, maintaining a live, milestone-driven schedule and surfacing long-lead risks before they hit the critical path.
  • Upload crystal-clear daily field reports- with progress photos- into our cloud portal so stakeholders know the score in real time.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, and scope; coach them when gaps appear and escalate only when needed.
  • Solve surprises fast- from missing permits to un-scoped demo- by collaborating directly with designers and AHJs.
  • Close projects with punch-list zero and organize all turnover docs (as-builts, O&Ms, warranties) in a single digital vault.
  • Represent the brand on-site: professional, responsive, and always a step ahead of the client’s questions.

Skill Set:

  • 7+ years running commercial interiors or ground-up builds as the lead Superintendent.
  • Thrive when plans are sketchy or permits are lagging- you know how to keep crews productive anyway.
  • Expert communicator who can juggle clients, vendors, and corporate PMs without missing details.
  • Tech-savvy (MS Project or equivalent) and comfortable adopting proprietary software quickly.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 100 percent of the time, including multi-week site stays.
