Senior Electrical Engineer

A well-established MEP Engineering Firm is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of complex building system projects. This role blends deep electrical design work with leadership opportunities across healthcare, government, and institutional facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting layouts, and fire alarm integration for a wide range of commercial projects
Coordinate closely with clients, architects, and internal disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery
Guide the preparation of specifications, plan sets, and construction documents
Oversee drawing reviews and technical QA/QC processes
Support construction phase activities through design clarifications and submittal input
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and client communication
Provide mentorship to junior staff and help shape team workflows

Requirements:

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering preferred (EITs or unlicensed candidates may also be considered based on experience level)
5+ years of electrical design experience for building systems
Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset
Experience across the full project lifecycle, from design through construction
Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination in MEP environments
Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis software
