Position Objective Candidate must live in North Carolina. Position is on-site. Not a remote or hybrid position. NC Residential Title Insurance Underwriter. Perform underwriting duties accurately, efficiently and timely as directed. The position requires someone with strong data entry skills, attention to detail and demonstrates a superior level of customer service. Underwriting/Production Responsibilities a. Review title opinions to determine the status of title, risk analysis and necessary underwriting requirements and exceptions to accurately produce a title commitment or final policy. b. Underwrite and input data for title commitments, revisions, and endorsements. c. Ensure all documents for each file is properly processed, scanned if necessary, and saved in our production system. Qualifications a. Considerable ability to perform tasks relating to title insurance underwriting and administrative duties with minimum supervision. Training provided. b. Analytical ability sufficient to analyze documents recorded in connection with a routine real estate transaction. c. Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, organize workload and maintain accurate files. d. Strong computer skills. e. Strong written and communication skills. f. Prior real estate or banking related experience preferred. g. Completion of high school education or higher preferred. Candidate must live in North Carolina. Position is on-site.
