Job Description

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Administrative Assistant . This is a great entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in local government operations, customer service, and administrative support. The role is fully onsite and extends through the end of 2025 .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist taxpayers in person and over the phone.
  • Provide general information related to property taxes, vehicle registration, and local fees.
  • Process payments and issue receipts accurately.
  • Enter and update taxpayer information in the database.
  • Prepare, scan, and file tax documents and correspondence.
  • Assist with vehicle tag renewals, title transfers, and related services.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing documents.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and office supplies.
  • Perform other clerical duties and support staff as needed.

  • Data entry experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • A collaborative, team-player attitude

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, data systems)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite, Monday through Friday
