Job Description

Crafting Change, One Story at a Time

Do you believe that storytelling can transform lives?

SR1, a nationally recognized nonprofit transforming education, health, and agriculture in underserved communities, is looking for a Multimedia Video Producer who can do more than just capture footage—you must capture hearts, spark minds, and speak truth.

We are seeking a creative soul who can film, write, and edit with compassion, especially someone who can give voice to families and communities that are often overlooked. If you’re fluent in Spanish or understand the richness of multicultural perspectives, your voice is deeply needed.

Your Canvas:

You will shape stories across Mississippi and beyond—from a child’s first day in a STEM program, to farmers reclaiming generational land, to health initiatives changing lives in rural neighborhoods.

  • Create compelling visual narratives—short films, long-form documentaries, and social snippets that live on YouTube, social media, and SR1 platforms.
  • Center community voices—interview students, elders, educators, and change agents with deep empathy and active listening.
  • Write from the heart—turn raw footage into powerful scripts that move people to act, support, and believe.
  • Support our mission—craft content for grants, donor campaigns, and policy briefs that secure resources and respect for our work.
  • Represent cultures with care—ensure that every story is accurate, inclusive, and dignified.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of experience producing and editing video, preferably in community-based or social impact work.
  • A strong reel or portfolio—your art speaks before you do.
  • Technical fluency with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • A gift for interviewing and connecting with people across cultures.
  • A sensitivity to working in underserved, rural, or multicultural spaces.
  • A commitment to accuracy, empowerment, and authenticity.

Extra Soul Points:

  • Fluent in Spanish or another language.
  • Experience in animation or motion graphics.
  • Background in education, health, or nonprofits.
  • Understanding of YouTube storytelling and analytics.

Who You Are:

  • A visual poet and storyteller.
  • A bridge-builder between communities and causes.
  • A listener first, a creator second.
  • You do not just make videos—you make people feel seen.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: $45,000–$60,000 (based on experience)
  • Full health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Opportunities to travel, grow, and make an impact
  • A diverse, mission-driven team that cares deeply

Logistics:

  • Mostly onsite with community travel in SR1’s Vehicles
  • Occasional nights/weekends to cover events that matter most.

To Apply:

Email your resume, cover letter, and video samples or portfolio links to:

info@SR1Tech.org

Priority Deadline: July 15, 2025

Applications accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

If you dream of being the lens through which the world sees hope, strength, and change—this is your calling. Let’s tell stories that matter. Together.
