Position Overview:

A growing, multi-site food manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join its team at its Fife, WA location. This position plays a vital role in overseeing daily HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance support. The role will also interface with departments including production, safety, and food quality, ensuring a unified approach to employee engagement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process from posting roles to onboarding new team members
  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and leave programs
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and employee training initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee files—both electronic and hard copy
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, FMLA, COBRA, and workers' comp administration
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies through documentation, audits, and reporting
  • Partner with managers and employees to resolve workplace concerns with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Help lead employee engagement, wellness, and recognition initiatives
  • Collaborate on performance management and employee development programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant HR experience; manufacturing or food industry experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Washington state labor laws and compliance standards
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office; experience with ADP is highly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-first mindset
  • High level of discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential matters

Work Environment:

  • On-site in Fife, WA (Monday–Friday schedule)
  • Occasionally may require travel to headquarters in California
