Safety Coordinator - $75,000-$80,000/annually

This position is a direct hire opportunity!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Safety Coordinator for our food manufacturing client to start immediately at $75k-$80k/annually. Receive medical, EAP, 401K match, HSA through our client.

Responsibilities:

As a key leader of our manufacturing facility, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for managing, and coordinating all Environmental, Health, and Safety and training activities in the plant to proactively drive programs and create a culture to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our employees.

Coordinator is the Safety and training Champion for the facility responsible for driving the safety culture throughout the plant. This highly visible role will have daily interactions with all employees and be a presence on the manufacturing floor.

  • Ensure facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation. Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented and maintained
  • In regard to regulatory requirements, Monitor follow-ups and corrective action resulting from all corporate and plant environmental, health and safety audits. Develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Provide safety and other training to all new employees as part of our onboarding program.
  • Detailed Injury root cause analysis and incident reporting.
  • Contingency and emergency preparedness planning.
  • Pollution prevention and waste minimization Hazardous waste, air programs, water programs and community Right to Know Evacuation and emergency take cover.
  • Chemical exposure Hazard communication Noise exposure and audiometric management Control of hazardous energy Additional duties as required.

Schedule/Shift Details:

  • This position is a first shift that runs Tuesday- Saturday

Qualifications:

  • Required 3-5 years' experience in a safety related position in a manufacturing environment. Or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of material flow and manufacturing operations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written are essential as well as effective presentations skills This position will deal with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels, the ideal candidate must have the ability to deal with all these contacts professionally and effectively.
  • The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized and be a proven leader and a self-starter. Ability to work hours to support employees on all shifts.
  • Must be equally comfortable working both in a team environment as well as working independently.
  • Must be a change agent and must possess a sense of urgency in work habits.
  • Travel: less than 10%
