Cloud Service Engineer – AWS

Location: Fountain Valley, Irvine, CA (On-Site)

About the Role - Position Description

MegazoneCloud is seeking a Cloud Service Engineer – AWS to join our team in Orange County, CA, USA, supporting our customers across North America. As a key member of the MegazoneCloud Services Delivery team, you will provide AWS design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions, and technology-based client communication & collaboration (on customers’ challenges) for our enterprise clients. You will work closely with internal teams to provide strong AWS infrastructure and solutions, optimize the environment, and enhance security and compliance within AWS environments.

This role requires a strong hands-on AWS background and customer-oriented mindset, as you will be dedicated to supporting our customers. The Cloud Service Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and contributing to future business growth with our clients.

[Guide & Architecture]

• Design and implement AWS cloud solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on AWS services, architecture best practices, and cloud security.
• Develop and maintain architectural diagrams, documentation, and standards.

[Execution & Team Collaboration]

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute cloud strategies.
• Collaborate with teams or lead AWS resource provisioning as a team member.
• Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AWS environments.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and trends to drive innovation.

• Working with cross-functional and third-party teams to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions.
• Maintain proactive and transparent communication with stakeholders regarding architecture, risks, and progress.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as an AWS Solutions Architect or in a similar role.
• 3+ years of proven implementation experience in AWS services, including compute, network, security, serverless, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of networking.
• Experience with AWS Databases (RDS).
• Experience with infrastructure as a code (IaC) tools such as CDK or Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (Professional) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS AI services (Sagemaker, Bedrock, etc.)
• Experience in a 24x7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment.
• Experience in on-premise infrastructure deployment/management
• Experience with ITIL processes and associated ITSM systems and service portals for Incident and Change Management.
• Experience with Windows and Linux system implementation, administration, support, and scaling virtual server cloud or on-prem environments, and solving network issues.
• Understanding of sys admin concepts, including, but not limited to, virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Operational knowledge of scripting languages.
• Client relationship skills and experience managing vendors. (Pre-Sales or Consulting)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Strong desire for personal development and learning.
• Delivery-focused with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines.
• Strong problem investigation and diagnosis skills.
• Korean bilingual
