Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Weehawken, NJ is $130k - $135k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and manage business and technical requirements. This includes stakeholder interviews, use case development, and traceability management.
  • Model current and future state business processes, and create data models to support system design and analysis, are essential
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to apply structured techniques to investigate problems, identify opportunities, and propose data-driven solutions are key
  • Work closely with developers and familiarity with the following are preferred:
  • DevOps fundamentals
  • Data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python/Pandas)
  • Agile methodologies
  • Clear communication—both written and verbal—is vital. Business analysts must translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and manage diverse stakeholder expectation
  • Business analysts will be facing off to Bankers so engagement soft skills are critical.
  • Soft skills like negotiation, facilitation, and adaptability. These help analysts navigate ambiguity, manage conflict, and drive consensus
  • Deeply understand the needs of the Coverage, Advisory & the Capital Markets space in Global Banking and prioritize user stories to achieve business goals

Requirements:

  • Process design and re-design including strategies to addressing challenges
  • working in agile environments with strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks and product ownership (such as performing product owner role in a scrum team)
  • delivery complex products to clients, ideally within the financial industry preferably investment banking
  • team player with an enthusiastic and proactive personality, a true agile mindset and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels
